Teaching at a charter school requires a unique set of skills, experiences and talents, often not found in traditional schools. We work in diverse educational settings and must create and think "outside" the box to implement our charter school's educational vision.

It is a day to celebrate who we are: TEACHERS!


At the Charter School Teacher Day Pre-Conference, Attendees will:
  • Meet two outstanding educational leaders, Brian Crosby, author of The $100,000 Teacher, and the marvelous Eleanor Bralver, at 90, the oldest active full-time teacher in California (and probably the U.S.)

  • Learn and share great projects and curricular activities initiated by teachers in their charter schools!

  • Learn the latest on what’s happening in the charter movement and what it means to be a teacher in a charter school

  • Get Information on Certification and Training

  • Help build a professional community of charter school teachers
